We first met Pat and Jody Keem (and their older son, Hunter) in 2005 and were instantly welcomed and enthused by their attitude and knowledge of the log home building process. After traveling throughout the US to visit dealers and model homes, we planned a trip to Maine and the Katahdin Log Homes plant. Pat arranged for us to meet with the owner of Katahdin, David Gordon. We toured the plant and spent time with the owner at his home. It was marvelous!
Decisions, decisions, decisions! One right after another, can seem overwhelming at times. But, Pat and Jody were always just a phone call or e-mail away. More importantly, they encouraged us all along the way!
After a three year extensive search, we had decided on Katahdin and had a plan in mind for our home. The Keem’s helped us in each step of our journey. From signing the contract and developing our plan specs to the purchase of stain for our house, Pat and Jody listened to our wants and met our needs for advice and help. Together we developed a timeline for construction of our dream home. Their recommendations of contractors and especially the builder turned out to be the some of the best decisions we made. We knew they spoke from the experience of building their own home and we always felt confident that they wanted us to succeed.
What a delightful experience – meeting new people who shared our love for log homes, sharing ideas and working towards a common goal. We always felt like we were not in this endeavor alone – we had the confidence and experience of two very competent and caring individuals – Pat and Jody!
